Age Group World Championship Qualifier

The Hawai‘i Bird Conservation Marathon has been selected as one of the qualifying marathons for the Abbott World Marathon Majors Marathon Tours & Travel Age Group World Championships to be held in 2025.

·        Qualifying period runs from January 01 – December 31, 2024

·        One-year cycle for participants to earn an invitation based on an Automatic Qualification Time. If an Automatic Qualification Time is not achieved, a ranking based on a single fastest marathon time during the qualifying period will be used to determine invitations for the Abbott WMM MTT Age Group World Championships in 2025.

·        The Abbott WMM MTT Age Group World Rankings begins on January 01, 2024 and runs through to the end of the year.

·        Participants in an Abbott WMM MTT Age Group World Ranking qualifying race will earn points according to their age, time and gender, aligned with the following age groups for men and women: 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80+.

·        All Hawai‘i Bird Conservation Marathon 2024 official finishers will receive Abbott World Marathon Majors ranking. They will need to “claim” their result by registering on the Abbott WMM website. There is no cost.

Please note: The Hawai‘i Bird Conservation Marathon will send age group results to the Abbott WMM MTT Age Group World Rankings within 14-days of our race.
